As usual, the first Chapter of most of my stories are based on actual facts. This one also. Lilly-Ann and her Mom, Chap 1. Lilly-Ann is a dark haired beauty and she had just turned sweet sixteen when she invited me to a party after which we started dating on a more regular basis. At that time she was a Junior in high school and I was a Senior. Before that particular party we had hung out with “our crowd” in the cafeteria lunch room sometimes. Our crowd was the military kids in the small town’s high school outside the Alabama military base. Remember this was in the days before cell phones and internet. So we considered the local high school kids a bunch of rednecks and a lot of the boys, and even certain girls, proved the point on a weekly basis. Their life consisted of loud cars, loud music and Friday night football. Meanwhile, we military kids considered ourselves as more sophisticated because most of us had spent some years in Europe or Japan. Now we were stuck in nowhere Alabama where no one had heard of soccer, or spoke Japanese except a few of the military wives brought back from Japan. Some of the local boys and girls did try to get to know us because every September would bring a group of new military arrivals. Fresh meat for the locals. The high school boys liked to pursue the Junior High girls until the Army Ranger daddies showed up. At the same time, I have to admit, a few of the military boys would try to sample some of the local Alabama beauties. And OMG, some …
